5 Lady Eagles are headed to State

Five Lady Eagle tennis players qualified for the 3-2-1A Kansas State Tournament that starts on Friday, October 17 at Dodge City.  The team were led this season by seniors Rachel Doll and Danae Patten.  The duo represented the #1 Doubles spot most of the season and had a combined record of 22-4.  The #2 Doubles team consisted of junior Mikayla Monday and junior Katie Shafer.  They had a record of 21-2 on the season.  The fifth Lady Eagle to make it to State was junior Mattie Shafer.  She had a record of 16-7.  Last week at the Kiowa-South Barber Regional site, Doll-Patton finished first in their flight, while Monday-K. Shafer finished third.  M. Shafer finished sixth.

Friday matches begin at 10:30 a.m. at Dodge City High School, 2201 Ross Blvd.
